Swarmed- 2005

”In the little town Dundas, Indiana, Ken Horvath (Michael Shanks) work as a professor in genetics. Right now he is working with a new pesticide against wasps. After an incident two mutated and extremely aggressive and poisoned wasps let out from their container and out to town- and that’s just enough for a new and deadly spices of wasps to establish.

Ken and the zoologist Christina (Carol Alt) is forced to take the fight against the wasps as the towns future depends on them. “

This movie has a concept that would have worked if it had been done in a complete different way. But now it only scares the most phobic person. The wasp sounds like the dinosaurs in Jurassic park and there’s a woman trying to shot a wasp with a shotgun… It’s too much and the movie is a comedy right through. The acting is awful; terrible…I don’t have words for it.

The only good thing about this movie is the old fashion horror movie style that it gets. As if it was recorded in the early 20th. If you have time to kill, need some laugh then go for it, but don’t expect to be scared.
